A change at the top of NMC – Florent Pouzet replaces Hubert Bosten as group CEO
After 26 years as CEO of the NMC group, Hubert Bosten has handed over his position to Florent Pouzet in April 2024. As part of a generational change throughout the group, Pouzet arrives with a wealth of experience from glass and building materials giant Saint-Gobain, thus opening a new chapter for the international group specialising in synthetic foams.
A fresh face at the head of NMC
Florent Pouzet, 46, took up his post at the head of NMC on 2 April. He was previously Managing Director of Saint-Gobain in Denmark, a group he had been part of for almost 20 years. After studying business management in Paris, Florent Pouzet joined Ernst & Young for three years, before moving on to Saint-Gobain, where he has spent most of his career. During this period, he held various management positions in 4 countries, namely Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Denmark. Pouzet brings to the NMC group a wealth of experience in change management, a proven track record in business development and more than 20 years’ experience in a multicultural environment. ‘My ambition is to continue the great work of the last few years and write the next chapter for NMC,’ he said at his official presentation last April.
A historic predecessor
After more than 25 years at the head of the group, Hubert Bosten steps down with many achievements to his credit, contributing greatly to NMC’s growth. Under his leadership, NMC grew from 2 to 12 production sites, with sales offices in 15 countries, and increased its annual turnover from €100 million to €350 million and its workforce from 560 to 1,700. ‘Hubert Bosten built and managed the company with great success. We are very grateful to him, but the time for succession has come”, says Miguel Kohlmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NMC and investor, who speaks of a generational change throughout the group. However, Hubert Bosten will continue to support NMC: he will remain active as a member of the Board of Directors and will be available to his successor as an advisor.
